Outfit of the Evening #OOTE
We went to a wedding last weekend and it was fab, I wore this outfit, but I didn’t wear these shoes, I wore some of those strappy 90s heels with an ankle strap but for some reason they have disappeared since then… The mystery of missing clothes continues… I think you could wear any black shoes or accent colour from the trousers with this outfit though!
I have never worn trousers to a wedding before. I see girls in similar baggy / palazzo trousers and jumpsuits at weddings in the day and they look amazing but I haven’t had the confidence to try it myself before, I’m only 5ft 2 and always thought that these styles looked better on taller girls. However, I think by wearing a plain top and heels the trousers weren’t too over powering on my small frame. The top has a chunky exposed zip on the back which is also a nice detail. I did actually buy two of these jumpers as they were a very good price point and I thought they would just be a super handy basic in my wardrobe. I bought a medium and a small depending on what look I want to go for.
I also wore a chunky necklace to make the look more eveningy! I also took a plain black clutch, an old faithful from Whistles that literally goes with everything!
I wore my hair in a simple loose bun at the nape of my neck and word a brown smoky eye with brown eye liner and a nude pink lip- fleur de force for mac as featured in my May monthly favourites post. We were having so much fun we didn’t take any snaps of ourselves but I’ll remember to next time for an outfit post!
