I am terrible at cleaning my make up brushes. It’s one of those things on my list of things I should really do now that I am 30… I used to only use baby shampoo and wash my brushes once in a blue moon but in July I picked up this MAC Brush Cleanser*. My aim is to use this every week… So far my schedule is going reasonably well. The product is really good though- as you can see I haven’t used too much of it yet but you don’t need very much to clean the brushes. I’m very pleased with it!
This is a bit random but this month I picked up this Baylis & Harding Prosecco & Cassis Fragrance Luxury Handwash for the bathroom and I love it! Smells so good! Not sure it actually smells like Prosecco but the smell is lovely and the bottle also looks really pretty in the bathroom!
I haven’t been mad on buying or testing make up products this month but I have two lip products in my July Monthly Favourites. The first one is new and that is the Bourjois Rouge Laque Lipstick in 01 Majes Pink*. This is my first liquid lipstick. I have wanted to try them out for a while but jus haven’t got round to it and I wish I had sooner, this one is great! The colour is really nice although a lot brighter on my lips than when I swatched it on my hand. The staying power is also really good. I am definitely in the market for more liquid lipsticks! Photo of me wearing this on instagram here.
The second lip product is an old favourite that I’ve had for a long time, a bit of a rediscovery from my make up stash. It’s the CHANEL LÈVRES SCINTILLANTES in 172*. This is quite a sheer berry coloured gloss with a hint of shimmer, but not too sparkly. This looks great just on its own or over the top of lipstick. The only problem I find with lip gloss is that you have to re-apply. I find some brands very sticky which I hate but this one isn’t too bad!
