Right, this really is ‘I’m so last minute I can’t order anything online and I can’t go in to town to go to the proper shops’ kind of last minute. Maybe you’ve just left things super super late this year or maybe you’ve got an unexpected gift to buy, but here are three ideas of where and what you can get as a gift super last minute for Christmas…
Last Minute Gift Ideas – The Supermarket
Don’t underestimate the supermarket. I love a good mooch around the supermarkets. For buying things that aren’t food, my top picks would be Sainsburys or Tescos. Both have really good clothes and home sections which are a great place to buy gifts. Supermarkets also sell CDs, books and games and I think a lovely hard back book makes a really thoughtful gift, even if it is a bit last minute… You’ll also find gift bags, cards and wrap in there too so a really good one stop shop!
Last Minute Gift Ideas – A Subscription
A subscription is a lovely gift and a way of future gifting. There are lots of ideas for subscriptions, maybe a favourite magazine? You can also do subscriptions for flower deliveries every month from Bloom & Wild which is a lovely gift. The other subscriptions you can look at for gifts is a membership to a local place that they like or you could go for a membership of something like the National Trust or the RHS?
Last Minute Gift Ideas – A Future Outing
This is by far the quickest and easiest, postpone buying a gift to a date in the future. With this one though you really do have to follow through. Don’t promise something that is ticketed or may be difficult to attend, but something like a day out to Kew Gardens or a trip to look round the Natural History Museum. Although this is in my last minute gifts post, this really is one of the most special gifts you can get someone. For Christmas day itself all you need to do is write what you plan to do in a card.
Don’t forget to come back every day in December for more Blogmas posts!
