Purchasing a mixer is a big luxury purchase, well it was to me anyway and I really took my time in choosing what I wanted and deliberating over what would be the best mixer for me. I’ve never considered a mixer a necessity, when I moved out of home I certainly couldn’t afford one and I used a hand held electric whisk for pretty much everything, especially cakes!

At home, we didn’t have a fancy mixer, but we did have a Magimix*. This is something that is on my mind at the moment… I think I may need one. Whilst I now have my fancy mixer, I don’t have something to make bread crumbs, or grate carrots. Although perhaps my mixer does do this, I just don’t have the attachments… comments below please…
Back to the topic, when I left my last job I was very fortunate to receive some vouchers and I wanted to spend them on something of substance, with my love of cooking I felt that this was meant to be. In addition, it was December, so I saved myself for the January sales and bought a kMix*, at a really good price from John Lewis. I love her. I don’t know what I did without her!
