Happy new year everyone, this is my first post of the new year and unlike many other bloggers I am completely unprepared for the blogging year ahead because Blogmas took the wind out of my sails… I am officially back at work (which I’m not so happy about) and officially back to blogging (which I am super happy about).
I wanted to write some kind of ‘new year resolutions’ post this week for the first week of the new year, but actually I don’t really have any. I don’t know what this year has in store for me as yet, I know we all don’t so that probably sounds a bit silly, but there are lots of things up in the air at the moment for me and I don’t know where they may fall until later in the year. I’m hoping by the spring things will be a bit clearer.
Which brings me on to the resolutions, there are things in my life that I would like to change, but it’s difficult if you don’t know where you’re headed… This probably all sounds super cryptic, but in summary, for the next few months I will just be rolling along…
There are some positive changes that I will be making this year though. Mainly to do with health and fitness. For years I have started the new year with a weight loss aim and I have started this year at basically the same weight as last year. Despite me actually making a lot of effort last year! So this year I want to be fitter and healthier, I have picked up some new books and I have ordered a treadmill (gasp). I figure I will be more motivated to work out at home than I will be to drive to the gym which is a mission where I live and adds on a lot of extra time to my day.
I am super interested in nutrition as I also have some tummy issues which I really want to get on top of this year and I will be seeing a nutritionist to see if I can finally sort it out once and for all. I just want to feel well most days and not feel knackered all the time, does anyone else feel like that? I’ll be keeping you updated on the blog with how I’m getting on and what changes I’ve made in due course.
So I’m going to start off easing in and I would love to sign up to some kind of event for mid year to keep me motivated, probably a 5k- lets not get ahead of ourselves…
I also want to work on my blogging skills this year and really get in to better photography and set up and just producing content that I enjoy but that people actually want to read, I only started this blog in June 2017 so I feel really proud of how far it’s come already.
I’ve really been ready for 2018, I really feel like it’s going to be a positive year and my previous couple have been a bit pants generally. So here’s to a happy and healthy year! What have you got planned for this year, did you make any resolutions?
